City Council Luncheon — 12 noon — Brick City (Mill Street between Boonville and Campbell) – Dr. Nietzel, President of Missouri State University, will present the “State of IDEA Commons” and Mike Peters will provide an from St. John’s Research Institute.
Discovery Center Public Open House — 6 to 8 p.m. 438 East St. Louis St.
The Discovery Center will be open FREE for families to enjoy the exhibits, visit the representatives from the Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) partners, and learn about careers in math and science from JVIC researchers.

The Network Luncheon — 12 noon — The Creamery Arts Center
Kay Osborn of the Drury University Edward D. Jones School of Entrepreneurship will facilitate a panel discussion focusing on "Economic Development and the Arts." Panelists include Ron Spigelman of the Springfield Symphony, Michael Donovan of the Missouri Arts Council, Kenny Ross of the Springfield Little Theatre Board of Directors, Amy Muchnick of the Missouri State University School of Music, and Jarvis Hester.

First Friday Art Walk — 6 to 10 p.m. — Downtown
St. John's Inveno Health (429 N. Boonville) will host an "Inventors Reception" for the public to learn about its innovative research projects.
Art Walk is a monthly social and artistic Springfield tradition is a great combination of 20 art galleries, 40 restaurants, and local retail shops. Admission is FREE, so patrons can splurge on a new piece of art or delicious dessert after dinner.
