Advance “Fireworks at the Field” stickers are now on sale for $5 at all Springfield area Price Cutter Supermarkets (including the downtown Bistro Market) and the Hammons Field box office. The admission price the day of the event will be $7 per person. Veterans and active military personnel with an ID can purchase stickers at the gate for $3. Children under 5 are free.
Fireworks at the Field, is an Independence Day celebration July 2, 2011. A limited number of stickers will be sold due to the capacity of Hammons Field (approximately 20,000 people).
YOUR TICKET INCLUDES ADMISSION INTO ALL CONCERTS AND PARTICIPATING VENUES AT FIREWORKS AT THE FIELD!!
The performance schedule for the all-Springfield band lineup on the Hoover Music stage at Hammons Field includes:
3:00pm RetroGnomes – This young group (ranging in age from 9 to 13) plays classic rock from the 70s and 80s, along with today’s favorites.
4:45pm Little Hoover’s Big Band – Started by H.L. Hoover in 1910, Little Hoover’s Big Band will feature jazz renditions performed by high school and college students, amateurs, and professionals.
6:20pm Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin – An indie pop band, SSLYBY has produced three albums (including “Let It Sway” released last year) and toured extensively across US and Europe.
8:00pm Big Smith – An Ozarks blend of bluegrass, gospel and acoustic country sounds with Southern-accented rock & roll blend into a good-naturedly eclective mixture known throughout the Midwest.

Ice skating at Mediacom Ice Park, 3:00-4:30 & 7:00-8:30
Art activities, face-painting and balloon animals at The Creamery Arts Center, 3:00-8:00
Inflatables and games at the Bill Rowe Training Facility at Hammons Field, 3:00-9:00
The fireworks display will begin after Big Smith's performance at Hammons Field at approximately 9:45pm.
