“Candyland at the Footbridge” will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from Noon to 2 pm at the Jefferson Ave. Footbridge on Historic Commercial Street. The footbridge plaza area will be transformed into a festive holiday setting for children as they visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Hosted by The Kitchen, Inc. and the Urban Districts Alliance, this event is open to all children in the Springfield community. Each child attending will receive a small toy, a book and candy as supplies last. In additional to Santa and Mrs. Claus and fun activities will be available for all to enjoy.
Donations of small toys, hats, gloves and scarves are still being accepted. Donations may be dropped off at the Urban Districts Alliance office at 304 W. McDaniel in downtown Springfield.
