The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC), in partnership with Guaranty Bank, proudly announces a call for artists to participate in the fourth annual Members Show, on display June 1 through June 29, 2012 at The Creamery Arts Center. There will be an opening reception during First Friday Art Walk, June 1 from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
SRAC members are invited to bring a work of art to exhibit during the Creamery member’s exhibition show. All artist members will be represented in the show by one work of art. The exhibit opportunity is open to all SRAC members. The SRAC will receive a 25% commission from all sales. There is no fee for participation, but it is never too late for new members to sign-up.
Artists may also bring a second piece of work for consideration, and if space allows, the second work may be exhibited. But if space does not allow, the artist should be prepared to pick up the second work before the opening of the show. Due to a phenomenal response from our members, we must limit the size of work that may be accepted from each artist, in order to make room for all. The maximum size in any dimension is 40 inches (max height, width, depth, etc).
The following information is to be turned in with all submissions:
(Please print this information clearly and attach to the back of your artwork prior to submission.)
Only artwork that is ready for display will be accepted. 2-D pieces must be securely wired on the back. Display for 3-D pieces requires planning in advance. Jewelry should be mounted in shadowboxes for hanging.
Work must be delivered to The Creamery Arts Center on May 29 and picked up on June 29th or July 1st. SRAC office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm.
For further information, contact Stephanie Cramer, Director of Programs and Exhibitions at 417-862-2787(ARTS) or visit www.springfieldarts.org. The Creamery is located at 411 N. Sherman Parkway, across from Hammons Field.
