Nominations for the 2012 Ozzie Awards will be accepted by the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) through Monday, July 9, 2012.  The award ceremony announcing the 2012 winners will be held at the third annual “Flights of Fancy” event on Saturday, September 8, presented by the Springfield-Branson National Airport.

Ozzie Award nominees may be performers, facilitators, benefactors, individuals or organizations (not required to be registered non-profits) that promote, personify and/or support artistic achievements in the Springfield area.  The award categories are Individual, Group/Organization, Individual Arts Collector and Corporate Arts Collector.  A Legacy Award is traditionally offered posthumously to an individual who has demonstrated the qualities of an Ozzie Award winner in their lifetime.

Ozzie recipients should have exhibited an extended service in promoting the Arts, a broad spectrum of involvement in the Arts, support above and beyond professional responsibilities and be a catalyst for growth of the Arts in the Springfield area.

A list of past Ozzie Award winners and the official nomination form are available on the Arts Council’s website, www.SpringfieldArts.org/OzzieAwards, or you can obtain a form from the website or the SRAC office and submit the information in person or by mail at The Creamery Arts Center, 411 N.
