The Healthy Living Alliance will again offer Yoga on the Square Fridays during the summer at12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. from May 31 to July 26. Yoga on the Square is free to the public thanks to funding from the Missouri Foundation for Health in partnership with the Urban Districts Alliance and the Ozarks Regional YMCA. Yoga mats are available on a first come first serve basis, or participants can bring their own.
Yoga instructors Rod Buckner and Emery Bryant offer a relaxing session of Yoga designed for any age and any level. Last year, Yoga on the Square attracted about 35 people on a regular basis. The purpose of Yoga on the Square is to offer Springfieldians an easy mid-day health break and introduce many to a fun take-home practice.
