“Candyland at the Footbridge” will still be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2013 from Noon to 2 pm, but due to winter weather will be relocated to Center City Church at 1700 N. Benton, one block south of Commercial Street.
Hosted by The Kitchen, Inc. and the Urban Districts Alliance, this event is open to all children in the Springfield community. Each child attending will receive a small toy, a book, hat, gloves and candy as supplies last. Donations of small toys, hats, gloves and scarves are still being accepted. Donations may still be dropped off at the Urban Districts Alliance office at 304 W. McDaniel in downtown Springfield during normal business hours this Thursday and Friday.
Candyland at the Footbridge is made possible from the generous support of community organizations and businesses, including The Table on C-Street, Center City Church, Grace United Methodist, Springfield Rollergirls, Ozarks Literacy Council and Festival of Lights.

The Urban Districts Alliance is an umbrella organization designed to provide leadership, programs and services to its downtown Springfield, Walnut Street, and the Commercial Street historic business districts.
