Art Inspired announces that Jacquie Atkins has joined the Art Inspired organization as General Manager. Jacquie brings a wealth of experience from the retail industry, having spent nine years as a store manager for both Chico’s and Clothes Mentor, as well as experience in human services as a licensed therapist in individual and family counseling. Jacquie has her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University.
Jacquie joins Art Inspired as General Manager to continue Art Inspired’s mission of creating social enterprise employment opportunities that empower individuals with developmental disabilities. “I’m excited to be able to bring my business experience and my passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities together in one position” stated Jacquie.
According to Jan Jones, Executive Director for Abilities First, “Jacquie’s experience has already made her a key addition to Art Inspired, and we feel very fortunate that we were able to find someone with her unique qualifications to fulfill this role.”
Art Inspired is a non-profit business concept that provides Springfield businesses with document disposal services and employment opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. Our innovative, environmentally conscious system turns paper waste into custom, creative and usable pieces of art. Art Inspired offers secure document disposal, paper recycling, custom home décor and furniture, handmade stationary, interactive art classes, public art studio, art gallery and event space.
