I am currently a senior who will graduate this December from Missouri State University. I am studying Fashion Merchandising and Design with emphases in Fashion Merchandising and Management & Fashion Design and Product Development. I previously held a summer internship at Zac Posen in New York, NY. Over the course of 8 weeks, I was part of a supervised experience in the field of Product Development and Design. I completed over 330 hours of work, and earned a satisfactory evaluation from my supervisor. I worked hands on with the design team by developing new fabric manipulations, designing prints and patterns, and researching trends and other companies. I was invited back to Zac Posen where I helped backstage and as a dresser during New York Fashion Week. After my internship, Missouri State University recognized me as their spotlight student representing the College of Business’s Fashion Department. In addition, I was presented the Best Designer award from Missouri State University’s Fashion Department and Winner of Arts & Letter’s competition at the “Legacy 2015” spring fashion show. Upon graduation, I would love to gain more experience in the fashion industry to eventually become an entrepreneur and own my own apparel business. My designs are unique, eclectic, and fashion forward. I want my designs to empower both men and women with the elegance and confidence that they deserve.
