Historic Walnut Street Association

Historic Walnut Street charms visitors with stately manors and fabled gingerbread landmarks that anchor the residential east end and transition to the boutique shops and lodging, offices, restaurants, and apartments toward the west end of the historic district.

Walnut Street serves as the backdrop for two annual festivals--Artsfest and Cider Days. Artsfest centers on artistic creations for public purchase while Cider Days focuses on the arts as well as regional crafts.

From the 1880s to today, Historic Walnut Street is a wonderful place to live, work and play.

The Historic Walnut Street Association (HWSA) represents the property owners, residents and businesses on Historic Walnut Street from Kimbrough Street on the west, to National Avenue on the East, in the heart of old downtown Springfield.
