Miss Merrie Christmas Named

50 young women from are high schools in Christian and Greene County competed in this pageant. Winners were chosen based on academic achievement, community service, participation in the Miss Merrie Christmas philanthropy day and an interview question.
Allie Prater (center), a Central High School senior was crowned as 2007 Miss Merrie Christmas. As Miss Merrie Christmas, Allie won a $2,000 scholarship to the school of her choice as well as a variety other gifts. Allie will be honored at a Springfield Cardinals home game next season, where she will throw out the first pitch.

The Miss Merrie Christmas Court is first runner up,Ashlyn Moore (left), a senior at Logan-Rogersville High School received a $500 scholarship to the school of her choice. Second runner up, Ashley Ackfeld (right), a senior at Ozark High School received a $250 scholarship to the school of her choice.

The UDA congratulates all of these pageant contestants for their hard work and for how well they represented their high schools, as well as their communities.
