Valeria Boss of AVBS Salons has been nominated for the prestigious 2008 Global Salon Business (GSBA), Salon Entrepreneur of the Year Award! The GSBA is a highly coveted award presented every two years, to recognize excellence in the industry, for salon entrepreneurs.

This exciting program rewards and recognizes leading salon owners who have consistently demonstrated extraordinary business and entrepreneurial success in the area of salon leadership, client philosophy/marketing & promotion, and who contribute to the salon industry and their own community with a lasting, positive impact. Winners will be announced at the 2008 Global Salon Business Forum & Awards event, to be held June 7-9, 2008 in Hollywood, California.

Salons nominated must submit a thorough and detailed entry dossier. UCLA Anderson School of Management, Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies administrates the confidential and impartial judging process. Part of the judging process includes evaluation by a panel of successful business entrepreneurs, UCLA Anderson School Faculty and prominent industry leaders from throughout the world.

Nominations and entries for GSBA program are accepted from the following countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States (now including Puerto Rico).

The three day 2008 Global Salon Business Awards event will consist of the glamorous and excitement of Hollywood and the serious education at UCLA. The event kicks off with an exclusive cocktail party and dinner at a famous Beverly Hills home. Participants will attend a day and half of advanced business education, primarily at UCLA. The program finale is a Hollywood-style Awards Gala dinner, where winners receive their awards.
