Does your food travel more than you do? Most produce grown in the United States travels an average of 1500 miles before it gets sold. Commercial Club of Springfield is committed to bringing you the finest tree-ripened, vine ripened, just-picked, and sumptuous produce by shortening the distance that our food travels to get to us. The difference is in the smell, the touch, the color, and the flavor.
The C-Street Market is a celebration of food and locally-grown produce, where you can sample the goods and develop a relationship with the grower. You’ll enjoy freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, fresh ranch eggs, delightful bakery goods, bouquets of garden-grown flowers, organic proteins, and local handcrafts, often accompanied by the sounds of local musicians.
By shopping at your local farmers market you keep small-scale agriculture and sustainable food production alive. And by shopping locally you support the continued development of regional economies and communities. Support your local farmers and eat tasty food.
Volunteer-driven and membership-based, the Commercial Club is one of Springfield's oldest non-profit organizations, focusing on the revitalization of the Commercial Street Historic District.
