Amycakes Bakery opened in August, 2009, in its present location at 308 West McDaniel. Owner Amy McGehee is a 2008 graduate of Drury University and a 2004 graduate of Springfield Public Schools. While at Drury, Amy also took cake decorating classes at OTC. With a degree in Arts Administration, Amy uses her training in art to create cakes that are as delicious as they are beautiful. The five talented bakers at Amycakes create pastries that are made fresh and from scratch, and can be decorated to celebrate any occasion.
