Downtown Springfield Association announces a series of holiday shopping events designed to celebrate local retailers and offer unique gifts for all ages. DSA will be partnering with downtown businesses to offer free services and treats on each of the following three dates:
The 2016 holiday shopping season kicks off with refreshments, live music, and specials at shops across downtown. Open houses include A Cricket in the House, Envy, Bookmarx, 5 Pound Apparel, Lush at BARtique, Mane Salon & Social House, Albatross, Inspired Boutique, Alchemist Attic, Obelisk Home, and Haberdasher at Dapper.
Christmas on Campbell Gallery Walk and Open House includes galleries along Campbell Avenue – Rosette Studios: Arts & Letters, Springfield Hot Glass, DB Design, Art Inspired, Fresh Gallery, Springfield Pottery, Distorted Utopia, and Sculpture Walk Springfield.
FREE 5-Minute Massage at A Hip Joint (309 S. Jefferson) for all customers presenting a receipt for a purchase that day from a Downtown retailer.
FREE Shake at Black Sheep Burgers & Shakes (209 E. Walnut) for all customers presenting a receipt for a purchase that day from a Downtown retailer.
Downtown retailers welcome shoppers to be a part of the national celebration of all things local during Small Business Saturday. Patrons “shopping small” will receive a free canvas tote bag (while supplies last) and a host of other specials to be unveiled that week on itsalldowntown.com and the Downtown Springfield Facebook page. Make sure and tag your shopping pics with #shopsmall and #itsalldowntown.
Springfield’s premier indie craft market – Queen City Craft Show – is back and bigger than ever with 50 local and regional artists, makers, and crafters. Customers can enjoy one-of-a-kind gifts, delicious food, and craft beverages while helping local animal rescue group, Rescue One.
FREE Trolley Bike shuttle will connect the Downtown retailers with the Queen City Craft Show at The Old Glass Place (521 E. St. Louis).
FREE Cookie at Magic and Mayhem Bakery (310 S. Campbell – inside Distorted Utopia) for all customers presenting a receipt for a purchase that day from a Downtown retailer.
Join the fun for a new holiday shopping tradition! Saturday, December 3rd, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, The Elliott Space is teaming up with Tillman Redevelopment and local Springfield retailers to host this fun, festive shopping experience.
We’re transforming a currently vacant space at 315 South Avenue (next to Norman’s Bridal), into a jolly shopping wonderland – complete with live music and complimentary mimosas!
100 VIP Passes will be available for $10 beginning November 14th.
VIP Passes include:
1 hour early entry, from 10:00-11:00 am.
Special discounts from each shop and giveaways during VIP hour.

Saturday, December 10 – Christmas Parade of Shopping (11 am-5 pm)
The Second Saturday in December will feature the annual Springfield Christmas Parade at 2 pm and great local shopping options before or after at over a dozen shops. It’s the perfect chance to get those last-minute gifts with character for family, friends, and co-workers. Come Downtown for a day of sweets, shopping and Santa!
FREE Horse-drawn carriage rides starting and returning to Park Central Square from 6-9 pm provided by the Downtown Springfield Community Improvement District.
