David Heti & Rachel Goldman

Springfield’s Premier Stand Up Comedy Show
March. 11th 8:00pm
541 E. Saint Louis

Scarily drily funny, David Heti has been called comedy’s dark philosopher; offbeat genius; and a rare, endearing blend of stand-up and stand-off (Examiner, The Scene Magazine, Exclaim!). David has lived and performed throughout Toronto, London and New York; headlined from Nanaimo to St. John’s; and appeared at festivals such as Just For Laughs, JFL42, the Dark Comedy Festival, and North by Northeast.

In 2014 David recorded his first full-length album, It was ok, an album of comedy by David Heti. Called deftly subversive by The Comedy Network and outlandishly harsh and thought-provoking by Exclaim!, in 2015 It was ok will be rereleased by Stand Up! Records, America’s foremost indie comedy label. It will be the first time Stand Up! Records releases the album of a comic based out of Canada.

David is also a contributing writer to VICE and teaches comedy writing at McGill University. He has a podcast, I Have a Problem, With David Heti, which can be heard on the No More Radio podcast network; and, from time to time, he works at a children’s hospital, in the Department of Bioethics.
David has one degree in Philosophy and two in Law. His last tour was sponsored by a bagel show.
