This is a unique occasion to revel in the complexity of Bach’s implied polyphony and the layers of gustatory delight in a glass of Mother’s beer. Cellist Steuart Pincombe will perform three of J.S. Bach’s solo cello suites, each paired with a Mother’s beer.
The program will be interlaced with short explanations of Steuart’s historical, interpretive approach along with comments on the historical brewing method of each beer. Music and beer lovers will name-their-own-ticket-price at the door. Proceeds go to support Music in Familiar Places, a yearlong tour of the US bringing the highest level of classical music performance to homes, churches, cafés, bars, or any place where community already exists.
A prix fixe three-course beer flight will be on offer to accompany the music. Let’s get together for an immersive aesthetic happening. Let’s support the arts of concert performance and brewing. Let’s share some Bach and Beer.
