Roger and Janet Replogle, in conjunction with Why Not! Productions and the History Museum On The Square, would like to announce the, I Hear You – IT’S TIME TO LISTEN Benefit Concert, at the Fox Theatre on April 7, 2016.
The concert will include performances by Kerry and Tracy Cole of The Lefty Brothers, Randle Chowning, a founding member of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Nick, Ruell and Abbey, & Dennis Beck and The Milky Way. All of the concert’s proceeds will be donated to SWAN (Southwest (MO) Autism Network) and the MIND Institute. SWAN originally started with a handful of Moms in a reserved room in the cafeteria at Cox South Hospital. Today, SWAN is located at The ARC of the Ozarks at 1501 Pythian Street in Springfield. SWAN’s Mission is to encourage parents, enlighten the public, exchange information, enrich the lives of children, and to experience friendship, hope, encouragement, and joy along the way with other parents and providers who are also traveling on this journey called autism. The MIND Institute was founded in 1998 by six visionary families, including five who have sons with autism. Their vision was to bring experts from every field related to the brain working together under one roof, towards a common goal: curing neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, fragile X syndrome, ADHD, and Tourette syndrome. The MIND Institute is located on the UC Davis Health Science Campus in Sacramento, California.
Randle Chowning has written a song in honor of the event titled; I Hear You, which will serve as our theme song and will also be released on iTunes with half of all proceeds from its sales being donated to these causes.
KY3 on-air personality, Sara Forhetz, will be the host for this event.
A CUSTOM-BUILT GUITAR, autographed by all of our amazing performers, will be auctioned live during the event.
Time: Doors open at 6:00pm, concert starts at 7:00pm.
