The three-hour show features a complete performance of Frampton Comes Alive! that the Montreal Gazette describes as “a highly-spirited and expertly-played recreation of the live album.” Frampton will also perform other highlights from his catalog, including his Grammy® Award-winning instrumental album, 2006′s Fingerprints.
Due to the success of the 2011 world tour celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Peter Frampton’s multi-platinum selling live album Frampton Comes Alive!, the tour has been extended into 2012.
Of the tour the Los Angeles Times says “…the British virtuoso is still making sweet music” while the Santa Barbara Independent describes Frampton’s set as “pleasing those who came to hear the hits and impressing the musicians in the crowd with his still-smoking guitar chops.”
Operated by the Springfield Landmarks Preservation Trust, the restoration of the Gillioz Theatre was completed in October 2006, eighty years after the original opening. In its early years, the Gillioz was Springfield’s premier entertainment venue, hosting a number of movie premiers and vaudeville shows. Both the lobby and auditorium have been restored to their original 1926 condition, which has made it a must-see for tourists traveling the former Route 66. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
