Enjoy the first days of fall at the 12th annual Cider Days arts and crafts festival on Historic Walnut Street. Presented by Great Southern Bank, Cider Days will be held on September 19-20, 2009. The two-day festival will feature regional artists and crafters, three performance stages, a free children’s area with inflatables, a Scarecrow Village, vintage cars and of course – apple cider. Admission is $3 per person; children 10 and under are free.
Cider Days features over 65 artists and crafters from the region, and includes jewelry, clay, painting, wood, glass, and photography. All arts and crafts are hand-made. The festival also includes over 25 different performances each day from some of the areas most talented musicians, dancers and comedians on the Reliable Superstore Showwagon Stage, the Hoover Music Bandstand Stage, and the Walnut Street Inn “Music at the Inn” Stage.
Cider Days also boasts the “Scarecrow Village,” a display of over 15 different scarecrows designed and built by area schools and civic organizations. Each Scarecrow has a unique name and personality. Be sure to vote for your favorite “Crow” on Saturday!
Cider Days on Historic Walnut Street is generously sponsored by Great Southern, CoxHealth, MOST - Missouri’s 529 College Savings Plan, Reliable Superstore, Hoover Music Company, The Coffee Ethic, Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Company, ClearChannel Radio, The News-Leader, Springfield-Greene County Parks and Recreation, Historic Walnut Street Association, and managed by the Urban Districts Alliance.
