2009-11-04T08:10:55-08:00 Springfield’s Veterans Day Parade themed “Thanking Our Heroes” and honoring survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor will begin at 11 am on Saturday, November 7 on Commercial Street and Benton Avenue. The route will take the parade down Commercial to Boonville, south on Boonville to Central Street and east to Summit Avenue. Sponsored by the Greater Ozarks Veterans’ and Patriotic Organization, the procession includes military personnel from all services (active, guard and reserve), veterans’ organizations, color guards, law enforcement representatives, firefighters and emergency medical services in Springfield. Staging for the parade will be at 10:30 am on Commercial and Benton.
