Saturday, December 5 will mark the end of the week of Eddies at Nathan P. Murphy's with a benefit concert for people with Down syndrome. The benefit will be held to help with fundraising for an independent film project in Los Angeles. The film is being produced by a team of film-studying students from California State – Northridge and includes Kaileigh Brielle Martin, daughter of Nathan P. Murphy's owner Dr. Bob. The film project is based on a book by Virginia Fleming. The benefit concert will be held at Nathan P. Murphy’s to help raise funds to support the production of the film. With film budgets on the rise, the students set up a 501c to help the production and to create awareness about Down syndrome. The bands currently scheduled to perform are Kevin Friday and Assembly Line Gods. Other bands to be added to the lineup and will be announced as soon as possible. The cover will be $5 / $9 (under 21) and the doors are scheduled to open at 8 p.m. for all ages. The door net proceeds will be donated to the 501c for the film project Be Good to Eddie Lee to help create awareness about Down syndrome.
