Professional Massage Training Center Celebrates 50th Graduating Class

Saturday, March 29 2008 (07:00PM) | Location: 201 E. Commercial Street | Posted by UDA | Special Events

Professional Massage Training Center will celebrate an important milestone. That evening, 24 graduates will enter the growing field of massage therapy as part of PMTC’s 50th graduating class.
Since PMTC’s establishment in 1994 by Juliet Mee, approximately 700 people have graduated from the program. Mee’s dedication to offering only the most progressive and highest quality of training available is demonstrated by students that are proud to have completed the program and proceeded to become leaders in the profession.
“What sets Professional Massage Training Center apart is its dedication to its graduates. A student graduating and being able to support themselves and their family in the way that they choose is the benchmark of success for PMTC.” Mee states. The school offers its graduates free career training each month, regular support for practice building, career planning sessions, and consistent employment support.
The field has gained popularity as people become more familiar and comfortable receiving massages. Almost a quarter of all adult Americans had a massage at least once in the past 12 months for health and wellness, reduction of pain, or as a gift. Consumer research points toward greater acceptance of massage as a person ages, and with an aging population, this fact bodes well for persons entering the field.
Professional Massage Training Center, Inc. is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). Flexible schedules and small class sizes provide a very personal educational experience.
This date also proves to be a special one for School Director, Juliet Mee. It will commemorate her 25th year in the field of Massage Therapy. Juliet has had an integral role in developing and regulating state legislature—she has served on the Missouri State Board of Massage Therapy for ten years.
The commencement ceremony will be held at the Firehouse, located at 201 E. Commercial with a special celebration following at PMTC/229 E. Commercial at 7:00 pm.
