Per Nov. 12 Release: The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, for the grand opening of the new culinary concept, Vito’s Kitchen, at 307 S. Jefferson Ave (the building which housed Dairy Queen from 1968 – 2012) in downtown Springfield.
Veteran Executive Chef Vito Palmietto is cooking up something new by offering local residents a VIP seat at his table in his new culinary concept, Vito’s Kitchen, which will offer Cooking Classes, Chef’s Dinners, exclusive pop-up lunches & events, and catering.
“My dream was to create a space where people could come together and experience not only great food, but relive old memories while creating new memories with family and friends,” explained Palmietto. “I think we’ve accomplished that in the custom space at Vito’s from the nostalgic décor to the food and beverage to our welcoming staff and dining atmosphere.”
The key to joining Vito at his table will be insiders’ following of the Chef’s social media outlets. Through “insider notifications,” Chef Vito will alert downtown diners of pop-up lunches and events. Booking for regularly occurring Cooking Classes and Chef’s Table dinners will be through the kitchen’s website, and the space will be open for tapas and spirits regularly during the monthly First Friday Art Walk.
After more than 30 years in the food industry, Chef Vito (a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America) is thrilled to introduce this brand new concept to the greater Ozarks community. Vito’s Kitchen, a place where food creates community, is his perfect recipe – resulting from a heavy dash of personal and professional experience combined with the spice of innovation – served up beautifully in this unique concept.
