Idea Commons is an urban innovation park in the heart of downtown Springfield. Designed to bring together innovation, design, entrepreneurship and the arts, IDEA Commons will facilitate a community that will both attract and retain talent in the area. This development will host modern offices, retail space, commercial storefronts, parking, green-space, and a welcome center. Through the Public Private Partnership of the Vecino Group, Missouri State University, and the City of Springfield, new buildings and infill development will blend with older historic structures, bringing workers, students, and tourists to a revitalized neighborhood.
Idea Commons is on Boonville Avenue between Phelps Street and Water Street. It’s immediately South of the downtown square in Springfield, MO. This new development will be constructed next to MSU’s Brick City, IdeaXfactory, Andy’s Frozen Custard Corporate office, Heer’s Luxury Living, e-Factory, Robert W Plaster Free Enterprise Center, Jordan Valley Innovation Center, as well as many other local and national companies.
Idea Commons is just north of the historic square and is a central piece of the overall Jordan Valley District; home to walking paths, Hammons Field, an amphitheater, and an ice rink. Idea Commons is also close to 4 large universities: Missouri State University, Evangel University, Drury University, and Ozarks Technical Community College.
