Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day honors homeless people who have died and serves as a reminder of the innumerable hardships and risks people living without shelter face. The National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Consumer Advisory Board and the National Health Care for the Homeless Council encourage communities to host public events on or near the longest night of the year. This year The Gathering Tree and Eden Village invites you to recognize homeless individuals in Springfield, MO who have died on our streets. Everyone is welcome to attend this free candlelight event.
