We are excited to kick off our temporary exhibit, Making Local Memories: Children’s Television in the Ozarks, with a live, in-person event: a conversation with the host of the Children’s Hour from 1957 to 1986, Norma Champion. She and John Sellars, Executive Director of the History Museum on the Square, will discuss not only her time as a writer, producer, and host of the Children’s Hour on KY3 but also her service on the Springfield City Council, the Missouri House of Representatives, and the Missouri State Senate. Norma Champion was the first woman to be inducted into the Missouri Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. We are extremely excited to share her stories with our members and guests!
