This is our fist Bike, Walk & Wheel Week 2021 Free Activity!
This is workshop for women and girls centered around commuting safely and answering your FAQs. We will talk about and demonstrate proper hand signals, rules of the road for both riders and drivers, safe bike routes, gear, planning, benefits of commuting, etc.
We will certainly talk about commuting for work, but I know that isn’t feasible for all of us all the time. There are so many other ways to participate in BWWW!
Think about replacing a car ride with a bike ride – what does that look like for you? What is your destination and what is holding you back? I have experience in commuting to work, to school functions, date nights, touring large cities, to major sporting events, and everything in between. Let’s talk realistically and practically about how to get there on 2 wheels instead of 4 – and how it IS different for women!
Meet at Springfield Brewing Company’s Upstairs Hall from 10:30-noon. Guardian present if you are under the age of 21.
Led by Angela Jackson & Claire Shipley

Bicycling, walking, and wheeling in our beautiful outdoors all offer a healthy break, both physically and mentally.
Whether a walk around the block to check on a neighbor or a bicycle ride on a new trail, we hope that you will join the fun.
Be sure to post a pic/selfie on Facebook/Instagram (make sure it is public) and use #BikeWalkWheelWeekSGF to be entered into daily prize drawings and the grand prize drawing on June 1, 2021.
Please be sure to log your participation by May 31 to get your free Panera Bread smoothie!
