Full moons happen when the Moon forms a 180-degree opposition from the Sun, reflecting the Sun’s light for all to see. This opposition calls us to balance the way we assert our identities in the outer world and how we receive these experiences within —shining a spotlight of awareness on what has come to fruition since the last new moon within the same sign. The full moon signifies what we need to release in order to find balance after this culmination.
For July’s full moon in Capricorn, we are called to find balance between seeking comfort vs. pursuing our goals. The Capricornian goat does not reach the top of the mountain by taking the most comfortable path. On the other hand, overly focusing on your goals can interfere with one’s ability to nurture and be nurtured. This lunation finds support from Mars in Virgo, urging us to stay organized as we take on life’s responsibilities.

Artist Laura Ingalsbe will then guide us through making intention candles to aid your process of release.
