Child Advocacy Center’s Drive-Thru Dinner

December, 4 2018 | 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

1041 E. Walnut St. Springfield, MO 65806

$20 - $30

The Child Advocacy Center is taking dinner orders for the “best fundraiser ever!” November 1st-26th, or while supplies last. The fourth Annual Drive-Thru Dinner includes a meal prepared by Jennifer Smith with the Traveling Chef and can be enjoyed in the comfort of participants’ homes. Proceeds from the event support the CAC and the children they serve in a 16-county area of southwest Missouri.

The CAC does forensic interviews and exams when there is an allegation of child abuse. In 2017, 1,596 children were served at their facilities in Springfield and West Plains, Missouri.

“This is the perfect event,” said Kathy Smith, development director for the Child Advocacy Center. “Choose your favorite menu option, then decide where and with whom you want to dine with.”

Select from a menu of Lemon and Herb Chicken, Beef Bourguignon, Lobster Pot Pie or a vegan option, as well as specific pick-up times to lessen the chance of a traffic jam on Walnut Street. Child options of Baked Spaghetti or Chicken Tenders with Mac & Cheese are also available. Meals are packaged in a re-usable bag and include everything needed to create an evening of fun for the whole family.

On December 4th, participants drive through the CAC “pick-up window” at 1041 E. Walnut St. and go home with a freshly prepared meal to enjoy with their families or friends.
