The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department and Mosaic Arts Collective is excited to present DISNEY’S ALADDIN, KIDS to close Springfield Little Theatre’s 2023-2024 Education Series! Welcome to Agrabah and the Academy Award-winning adventure of the street rat who became a prince!
Based on the iconic animated film, with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, DISNEY’S ALADDIN, KIDS is sure to send audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure. When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in DISNEY’S ALADDIN, KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.
Placement auditions for performers ages 8 through 18 will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre (“The Judy”). At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination, a portion of a song from the show, and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The cast and parent meeting/ first rehearsal will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at The Judy.
Rehearsals will be Sundays – Thursdays from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.
Performances will be presented Friday, May 31, 2024 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM; Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM; Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 7:00 PM; Friday, June 7, 2024 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM; and Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy.
A participation fee/ tuition of $235 helps meet some of the project’s costs.
