It’s Second Saturday Art Walk at Fresh! We have two very special events this month. A book launch by this month’s featured artist and Kickapoo High School French teacher Carole Ogden, and our annual Pour Amour event benefitting SMMA – Southwest Missouri Museum Associates.
Do not miss Carole Ogden’s book launch and art reception “Where Storytelling and Art Come Together” on Saturday, February 2nd from 3-6pm at Fresh Gallery. The French born artist has always used art as a means of expression, empowerment, and enjoyment. She likes to use color to paint a magical feeling of the world that one may see in the day-to-day. It is through her color-drenched artwork that she finds inner joy and now Ogden has moved on to becoming an illustrator of Christina Magers’ first children’s book, The Story of Nugget. The book details in a simple, reflective style the journey of the expectant parents through the perspective of the baby and will only be at the gallery during her reception. The extended collection of Caroles’ work will be featured all month.
First Friday Art Walk kicked off our annual Pour Amour event benefitting SMMA . The one of a kind collectible wine glasses our 28 artists have been busy hand painting are on display and available for purchase. You are also invited to purchase and paint your own wine glass the day of the event. Artists will be on hand to assist you and refreshments will be on hand to sustain you. The event is Saturday, February 9th from 11am-6pm. The paint your own wine glass stations will be available from 11am-4pm the day of the event.
