Mother’s Brewing and Moxie Cinema is kicking off their Backyard movies series with the 1993 cult classic western Tombstone. Fans of American mythology and mustaches can agree: ‘Tombstone’ delivers the goods. A modern take on the legendary gunfight at the O.K. Corral, the cast includes not only Kurt Russell, Sam Elliott, and Bill Paxton as the Earp Brothers, but Val Kilmer’s indelible turn as Doc Holliday as well. Plus, name one other movie that boasts roles for Jason Priestley *and* Charlton Heston! And narration by Robert Mitchum.
The $6 admission helps support Springfield’s preeminent, independent art house theater, Moxie Cinema.
