On the Friday we call Good, The Downtown Church takes time to observe the events leading up to, and immediately following, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

The Tenebrae service follows the journey to the cross with scripture readings interspersed with songs. After each reading, a candle is extinguished and the service ends in a darkened setting and all exit in silence.
