Beat the obstacles of freedom by participating in the Freedom Walk, exciting dance breaks and the largest water fight in the city at Jordan Valley water park. Enjoy the Juneteenth celebration with various, games, swag, water fountain and bounce house fun. Interact and network with local leadership. Learn who represents you and how the community has evolved and/or what to expect going forward. Visit with prominent corporate leaders and sponsors for job opportunities and programs. Engage with non profit organizations working to change the world by helping you register to vote to maintain the freedoms you hold close.

11 a.m.— Introductions & ceremony begins

11:15a.m.— History reflections

11:30 a.m. – Speaker

11:45 a.m.— Keynote speaker

12 p.m.— Performance

12:15 p.m.— A moment for voter registration sign-ups

12:30 p.m.— DEI LIT Award presentations & announcements

12:45 p.m.— Keynote speaker

1 p.m.— Freedom Walk Celebration March to Silver Springs Park – In collaboration with NAACP, The Springfield Greene County Park Board and Timmons Hall with Ms Christine Peoples

1:30 p.m.— Arrival at Silver Springs Park – Dance break, introductions and announcements

2 p.m.— Keynote speakers, NAACP announcements and other surprises

2:15 p.m.— A moment to mingle and engage

2:30 p.m.— Closing remarks and Freedom Walk participants return to Jordan Valley Park

3-5 p.m. — Park celebrations, bounce houses, job fair and family fun

 

Park Events Job Fair & Water Fight Schedule at Jordan Valley Park

11 a.m. — Water fight packet pickup and walk-up registration opens

11 p.m. — Bounce Houses, cotton candy and snow cones open to guests with registration bracelet

12 p.m. — Music

3 p.m. — Freedom March arrives back to park for more fun

3:30 p.m. — BIGGEST WATER FIGHT EVER BEGINS

4 p.m. — Water fight awards

4:30 p.m. — Begin clean-up

5 p.m.— End of event, prepare for Downtown Music Festival

Attendees are asked to please get a FREE general admission ticket through the link above to calculate event attendance. General admission allows you to attend the Freedom Walk and engage with unpaid activities such as bounce houses, music and speaking with local organizations at the event.

You can also purchase PAID tickets that includes an event T-shirt and other enhanced experience items for participation, like access to unlimited free cotton candy, pop corn and lunch items.

All profits from this event will support the development of United Community Change DEI programs.
