Rated SGF Film Festival — Postponed

March, 28 2020 | 10:00 am - 11:30 pm

157 Park Central Square Springfield, MO 65806

Update, March 13, 2020:

After continued monitoring of national Centers for Disease Control and local health department guidance, the Downtown Springfield Association and the Film and Media Association of Springfield today announced that the Rated SGF Film Festival has been postponed.  Organizers will work with the film industry special guests, Fox Theatre and other stakeholders to identify a new date. This action is taken in the interests of public health concerns regarding COVID-19. The health and safety of guests, volunteers and staff are always a top priority.

“This was not an easy decision, but ultimately we determined this was the right thing to do,” Jennifer Moseley, festival director, said. “We are thankful for all the support we have received as we planned this event and look forward to hosting our third Rated SGF Film Festival. We will make it the biggest and best to date.”

Inspired by exceptional things found in unexpected places. Rated SGF celebrates films and artists that challenge our assumptions.

At the Rated SGF Film Festival, presented by Simmons Bank and Hotel Vandivort, each screening seeks to create an authentic connection, blurring the boundary between storyteller and audience through Q&A’s, workshops, and a cinematic environment. Our vision for the event has been to create a distinct, memorable experience by having the director (or someone directly involved). The experience includes film viewings with director Q&A’s at each one, a workshop led by the FMAS and a party with live music and great food.
