Ozarks Public Television is excited to announce plans to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in southwest Missouri. The feature event is the Seuss Science Day on Saturday, February 17^th.  It will take place at the Discovery Center of Springfield with a visit from the Cat in the Hat himself!  On this special day, guests can take advantage of reduced admission to the Discovery Center of $7 per person (kids 2 and under get in free).  Kids will have a chance to hear Dr. Seuss stories Including – The Foot Book, The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, The ABC Book, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Guests can also take part in special science demonstrations featured that day. The Cat in the Hat will greet guests and pose for photos.  Activities are scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm and the Discovery Center will be open during normal hours from 9 am to 6 pm.
