Springfield Symphony Presents Relationship Status: It’s Complicated

September, 17 2022 | 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

525 S. John Q. Hammons Pkwy. Springfield, MO 65806

Our season of love starts with the kind of love that only a Norse God could fathom—a love so deep (and possibly misguided) that it drives a father to put his Walkyrie daughter in a time-out circle made of fire until a hero comes to rescue her.  We will also play the exotic and beguiling Scheherazade, depicting the sultan’s clever wife who tells him tales over a thousand and one nights and wins his love. Our opening night concert is full of love and passion, and you won’t want to miss a beat.

Barber – School for Scandal Overture
Wagner – Wotan’s Farewell and Magic Fire Music
with Ben Wager, Bass-Baritone
Rimsky-Korsakov – Scheherazade
