Ring in the New Year in Downtown Springfield

2017 has been quite a year. Welcome 2018 the downtown Springfield way with live music, glittery parties, stand-up comedy and more.

Noon Year’s Eve
Head to the Discovery Center for groovy vibes and disco dancing for the whole family. Celebrate the “Science of the Seventies” with this daytime New Year’s party occurring on Saturday, December 30. Make a disco ball, befriend a pet rock and more before counting down to noon with a festive balloon drop. Tickets are available at the door.

Party at The Order
Raise a glass of bubbly and ring in the New Year at Hotel Vandivort. The Order is offering a reservations-only four-course dinner, and Shaun Munday will be performing live from nine to midnight. Call The Order at 417-851-5299 for more information.

Support the History Museum
Support History Museum on the Square with a New Year’s gala featuring music by local favorite Vic Vaughan and Souled Out, a live auction, delicious food from The Order and a midnight dessert buffet. Get tickets here.

Party-Hop in Style
Scotch & Soda Springfield and The Golden Girl Rum Club are teaming up for a massive masquerade/glitter ball and dance party. Grab your mask and head to Scotch and Soda for the masquerade ball and an acrobatic aerialist, then head to Golden Girl for a glitter party in classic Golden Girl style. Advance tickets are available for $20 at either location; they’re also available at the door for $25.

New Year’s Reunion Show
Ring in the new year at the Outland with this all-ages show featuring Honky Suckle and Drifters Mile.

Catch a Flick
Attention, film lovers: Moxie Cinema is open 365 days a year. It’s a great way to get out of the house and enjoy a great film after chowing down on Christmas dinner.
