Love fall festivals? Studying graphic design?

Apply to be the Cider Days design intern.

 

Cider Days two-day fall festival will feature regional artists and crafters, three performance stages, fall-themed activities for kids, and, of course, delicious apple cider. Now in its 22nd year, this outdoor event hosts artists and crafters on beautiful Historic Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Thousands come to Cider Days to buy handmade products including jewelry, pottery, glass, wood, furniture and much more.

In partnership with the Historic Walnut Street Association, the Downtown Springfield Association manages Cider Days on Walnut Street. DSA seeks qualified applicants for its designer position.

The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in and passion for the following areas:

  • Branding
  • Design
  • Copywriting
  • Comfortable working in Adobe Suite
  • Photography and videography is a plus!

This intern will assist DSA staff in digital marketing for Cider Days, including:

  • Concepting themes for the event
  • Executing the selected design concept to create all the marketing materials
  • Taking the lead on producing merch
  • Serving on marketing subcommittee of these community events
  • Supporting social media team by producing visual elements as needed
  • Creating other design projects as assigned by Communications Manager
  • Working the event

Time Commitment:

  • Now through September 2019
  • Cider Days takes place Sept. 21-22, 2019
  • 10-15 hours per week

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship that will help you make invaluable connections in the local community–helping you land a top-notch job post-graduation. In addition, academic credit and flexible work locations can be arranged.
