The 2019 Festival of Lights season includes a flurry of downtown-centric events. This year’s Festival of Lights kicks off with the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony Saturday, Nov. 23, at Park Central Square. The show starts at 6:30 p.m., with the tree lighting at 7:30. Join us for selfies with Santa and costumed characters, musical performances by Springfield Little Theatre and others, free carriage rides from 6-9 p.m. and free ice skating at Jordan Valley Ice Park. (Free admission. Skate rental is $3.)

Other Festival of Lights activities throughout November and December include free ice skating, holiday productions, shows and concerts, and the Downtown Springfield Christmas Parade. Festival of Lights is presented by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, the Downtown Springfield Association, the Downtown Springfield Community Improvement District and the City of Springfield.

The 2019 Festival of Lights calendar of events is coming soon!
