The logo for Mother’s Brewing Company includes a heart. It’s more than just a clever bit of design.
The Downtown Springfield brewery has long made it a priority to give back to the community. Now, with so many in the hospitality industry struggling, they’re giving back even more with the Mother’s Industry Support Fund.
Mother’s has teamed up with Community Foundation of the Ozarks to create a fund to help those in the bar and restaurant business who have lost their jobs during this time.
“Love of community has always been a core value at Mother’s Brewing Company,” the brewery said in a press release. “Right now our community and the hospitality industry is feeling the effects of COVID-19. This fund will be used for grants to help local employees pay utilities, rent, mortgages, or other bills they can’t handle.”
There are a couple of ways to help. You can visit their special website and donate online. Give once, or set up a recurring monthly gift. You can even specify if you would like the money to go to unemployed workers in Downtown Springfield or in the Springfield Metro.
Mother’s is donating $1 for every six-pack of Step Dude cans sold until the end of May toward this fund. They are also donating $1 for every order they fill from their Tap Room. That means for every sixer of Step Dude you get from the Tap Room, Mother’s will donate $2 toward the Mother’s Industry Support Fund.
