In 2004, Jennifer Smith decided she had what it takes to start a catering business. Ready to become the entrepreneur she had always wanted to be, Jennifer started The Traveling Chef by catering weddings and intimate parties.
Jennifer Smith has always had a passion for food and a knack for creating fresh and unique menus. She is a certified chef and did her early apprenticeships at the Tower Club, Millwood Country Club and the James River Grill. She also worked for a food marketing company as a development chef assisting in the creation of products for some of the largest food companies in the world. That background has provided her well-rounded experience in fine dining, high-volume service and innovation. But what Jennifer really enjoys is taking fresh seasonal ingredients and creating memorable meals. Jennifer also surrounds herself with a team of culinary professionals and experienced event managers to ensure your event is a success.
