The History Museum on the Square is thrilled to announce the eagerly anticipated return of the Haunted History Walking/Bus Tours, an experience that unveils the history behind downtown’s haunts. These tours promise to captivate audiences of all ages, shedding light on true crime, alleged hauntings, and chilling stories that have become a part of Springfield’s folklore.
Haunted History Walking Tours
The Haunted Walking Tours this year will start at The Calaboose, Springfield Police Museum located 409 W McDaniel. FREE parking is available in the College Station Car Park at 316 S McDaniel. This year the highlight of the tours will be entering three downtown buildings and hearing the haunted stories inside. The three buildings include The Calaboose, Historic Fox Theatre and TaBak Co.
Date: Every Friday and Saturday night starting Friday, September 5th and ending Saturday, November 1st.
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Cost: Non-Members $25 & Members $20 – Non-Refundable
Haunted History Bus Tours
Haunted History Bus Tours will start at the History Museum on the Square 154 Park Central Square. The Bus Tour includes downtown Springfield Commercial Street and Drury University, expanding on stories beyond the walking tour route.
Date: ONLY Friday October 24th and Saturday, October 25th
Cost: Non-Members $40 & Members $35 – Non Refundable
Haunted History Tours are a yearly fundraiser for the History Museum on the Square. Tickets are non-refundable.
