The Ozarks Gem & Mineral Society sponsors a fall show, which has moved to a NEW LOCATION!! This event will be held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex (West Hall), 1009 W Smith St, Springfield, MO 65803 (Enter thru gate 4).  Lots of free parking; admission is $5 per person over 5 years old – or – $20/family pass. Show dates (we’ve added an extra day this year) are October 17 – 19; hours are 9 – 5 all three days. There will be 30+ vendors selling all sorts of rock-related items including jewelry, geode cracking, slabs, rough, minerals, display specimens, novelties, meteorites, gold, and much more, The Kids Corner will have fun events for the kids including a  scavenger hunt, rock races, and a free build your own specimen starter kit the kids get to build (while supplies last), Kids can also enter the free kids raffle for a chance to win one of 3 great prizes – must be in person to receive a ticket.  The club will have the Silent Auction, Rock Identification Booth, Grab Bag sales, Membership signups, and raffle ticket sales for an Amethyst Flower this year.
