Must-See Stop on First Friday Art Walk!
Join the Gillioz Theatre for an unforgettable evening of art, music and film! On September 6, from 6-9 p.m., start your night with a drink at the Gillioz Gallery Bar on the second floor, where you can also explore the stunning 10’x10’ prints by Julie Blackmon from the 2016 production of “The Marriage of Figaro,” presented by Ozark Lyric Opera. These captivating canvases, each carefully chosen to enhance the opera’s four acts, will be showcased in The Gallery.
Then, take the elevator up to TheTHIRDFloor to meet Michael Kornblum, a multi-award-winning artist, and Air Force veteran, and explore his exhibit, “Journeys Through Light and Landscape: An Exploration in Oil.” Kornblum’s journey from a 20-year military career to a celebrated artist brings a unique perspective to his work. His work is being showcased by the Two Black Ravens Foundation.
While you’re there, watch an episode of SATO48 The TV Show, connect with MOJO, challenge yourself with film trivia at the Ozarks Film Foundry, and engage in hands-on creativity with the Mosaic Arts Collective, where you can contribute to a community arts board or join in on a djembe drumming session.
Make the Gillioz Center for Arts & Entertainment your must-see stop this First Friday for a night of culture, community, and creativity!
