Downtown Springfield Association Names Crystal Quade as New Executive Director

The Downtown Springfield Association (DSA) announced today the appointment of Crystal Quade as its new Executive Director. Quade will officially begin her role on February 17.

Quade brings a deep commitment to community engagement, economic vitality, and collaborative leadership. Known for her ability to build strong partnerships, she steps into the role at a pivotal time for downtown Springfield as the organization continues advancing initiatives that support businesses, residents, and visitors.

“Crystal brings a unique blend of leadership, vision, and a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing downtown communities,” said Brian Mattson, Chair of the Downtown Springfield Association Board of Directors. “Her ability to bring people together make her the right leader to guide DSA into its next chapter.”

As Executive Director, Quade will oversee DSA’s strategic direction, operations, and partnerships, working closely with the board, downtown stakeholders, and community leaders to strengthen downtown Springfield as a vibrant and economically thriving district.

“I’m honored to step into this role and excited to work alongside the Downtown Springfield Association board, staff, and community partners,” said Quade. “Downtown Springfield is the heart of our community, and I look forward to building on its momentum while supporting the people and businesses that make it such a special place.”
