We’re ready to Rally For Recovery on #GiveOzarks Day. And we need your help.

March 17, 2021

Park Central Square has been far too quiet in the last year. We’re ready for that to change.

As our community emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Downtown Springfield Association is ready to emerge from its events hibernation. But we can’t do it without your help. With that in mind, the DSA is participating in Give Ozarks Day: Rally for Recovery, a regionwide online giving day presented by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Bass Pro Shops on March 24, 2021.

Online donations to the DSA can be made from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on March 24 at GiveOzarks.org to support our efforts to bring live music back to Park Central Square and put on free, family-friendly events. Remember our Sounds on the Square series in late summer/early fall of 2020? That’s the kind of thing we’re talking about, but there’s also more.

“We haven’t been able to have our beloved, iconic community events like Artsfest, Cider Days, Taste of SoMo and much more,” Rusty Worley, DSA Executive Director, said. “We invite you to help us bring this heartbeat back to Springfield and the Ozarks. Help us support live performers and sound technicians, and bring guests back to Park Central Square and the small businesses who depend on the thousands of patrons we have each year.”

For each donor to its project, the DSA will have a chance to win one of the $5,000 hourly prizes provided by event sponsors. The event is powered by CauseMomentum.org, the CFO’s crowdfunding platform.

Making a secure online donation is simple. From 7 a.m.-7 p.m. March 24, donors can go to our special Cause Momentum page to complete a basic credit-card donation. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

Keep an eye on our website and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) as we share more information over the next week and prepare for the big day.
