Full moons happen when the moon forms a 180-degree opposition from the sun, reflecting the sun’s light for all to see. This opposition calls us to balance the way we assert our identities in the outer world and how we receive these experiences within —shining a spotlight of awareness on what needs to be released as we move into the waning phase.
For August’s radical full moon in Aquarius, we face a lesson of releasing a piece of our ego for the good of the team, or freeing our need to follow the crowd to embrace what makes us different. There is a humanitarian nature to this new moon, calling us to make this release for the sake of the future we want to see in the world.
You’re invited to join this workshop at Forming Art Studios to find your lunar balance in the form of candle-making.
Astrologer Misty Lane will provide an overview on the meaning of this lunation with mini astrology readings for each participant. Artist Laura Ingalsbe will then guide you through making intention candles to aid your process of release.
