Amateur and professional quilters from Southwest Missouri and across the state are represented in the Bicentennial Quilt exhibition, Nov. 11-29, at the History Museum on the Square. Using one block from each of Missouri’s 114 counties and the independent City of St. Louis, the quilt showcases Missouri’s unique culture, creativity, and geography. To honor Missouri’s 200 years of statehood in 2021, the State Historical Society of Missouri and Missouri Star Quilt Company, in partnership with the Missouri State Quilters Guild teamed up to identify quilters from across the state who created each of the individual quilt blocks.
Admission is required. Members are free.
The public can also view the quilt blocks online at missouri2021.org.
